COON, Raymond

Raymond E. Coon of Danville, Illinois, age 53, died January 11 in Lakeview Medical Center at Danville. He was born at Danville, March 12, 1929, the son of Albert and Sylvia Sigler Coon. September 21, 1952, he married Pauline Sylvia, who survives. An Army veteran, he served in both the European theater and Korea.
Also surviving are seven daughters, Paulette Miller, Rosann Newlin, Edith Carpenter and Rhoda Kelly, all of Danville, Shirley Haugher of Covington, Christine and Pamela, both at home; three sons, Raymond E. Jr. and William H., both of Danville, and Ted E. at home; two sisters, six brothers, nine grandchildren and five step grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Thursday morning at Barrick and Son Funeral Home in Danville with burial in the Danville National Cemetery. – thanks to S
